Visit the Colombo Tea Auctions at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in operation since 1883. 700 factories and 450 registered buyers trade at this auction. Spend some time at the auction and leave for Kandy.

Visit the Giragama Tea Factory and the Hantana Tea Museum.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel of your choice in Kandy.

Begin your journey to Nuwara Eliya. Enroute visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden which has been highlighted in The New Straits Times Publication as "one of the best kept secrets of Kandy"

Visit the "LaBookelle Tea Estate" over 100 years old. It produces approximately 6,000 kilograms of tea annually. Enjoy your factory fresh cup of truly "Ceylon Tea".

City tour of Nuwara Eliya. Sri Lanka’s premier hill resort with splendid scenary and fine bracing mountain climate.

Dinner and overnight stay. We recommend that you stay at the Heritance Tea Factory which is actually a tea factory, now converted into a five star hotel. At this hotel you can experience the plucking of tea leaves which is arranged by the hotel.

Breakfast.

Proceed to the Nanu-oya railway station and take the train to Talawakelle. Your chauffeur will be waiting at the station to drive you to Sri Lanka Tea Research Institute (SLTRI).

SLTRI was established in 1925 and located in the St. Coombs Tea Estate. You are permitted to visit their information centre and the St. Coombs Tea Estate which will take approximately an hour. The tea museum which was formerly located here is now found in Hantana.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Leave for Haputale via Keppettipola. En route visit the Adisham Monastery in Haputale which is a priceless masterpiece of architecture.

Arrive in Haputale and check in at your hotel.

Dinner and overnight stay at Haputale.

Leave on an excursion to Lipton's Seat with packed breakfast. It is important to leave the hotel early (around 5.45 am) in order to view the sun rise from the Lipton's Seat view point. There after proceed to the Dambatenna Tea Estate.

Return to hotel and rest for a while. Depart to Mount Lavinia.

Check into Mount Lavinia hotel for dinner and overnight stay. The Mount Lavinia Hotel was a colonial mansion with a rich history as a country home in 1805. Now a leading four star property is popular among foreigners who have laid for long hours on the beach and enjoyed the sun.

Enjoy last minute shopping in Colombo including brief visits to the MLESNA and DILMAH TEA outlets. You can also visit the DILMAH tea lounge at the Independence Shopping Arcade or Chatham Street and indulge in session of tea appreciation for approximately 60 minutes which will educate you on the tea industry and be served with afternoon tea.

Return to the hotel.

Enjoy the sunny beach or take a dip in the pool.
